Falkirk anti-immigration protest group to disband over ‘neo-Nazis’STV News

A Falkirk anti-immigration protest group has announced it will disband because of the attendance of neo-Nazis at demonstrations.

Campaign group Save Our Future and Our Kids Future organised protests outside the Cladhan Hotel, which houses asylum seekers, consistently over the last year.

The demonstrations have attracted far-right groups, including Patriotic Alternative (PA) and the Homeland Party.

PA is a white nationalist group founded by former BNP youth leader Mark Collett.

In a documentary, released by Channel 4 in 2002, Collett was caught on camera referring to Africans and homosexuals who died due to HIV-AIDS as “AIDS monkeys”.

The far-right group opposes all immigration unless they share the same ethnic background or can prove British ancestry.

According to PA, “white South Africans” would be among the groups granted asylum due to their “descent from European nations”.

PA confirmed its continued attendance at the Falkirk protests, where members handed out leaflets regarding the Great Replacement theory.

The theory is the view that white “indigenous” European populations are being replaced by non-European immigrants.

The Homeland Party is a splinter of PA founded in April 2023, led by former Scottish BNP member Kenny Smith.

The group supports a policy of “remigration”, which is described as a far-right concept of ethnic cleansing via the mass deportation of “non-indigenous” people.

Save Our Future and Our Kids Future (SOF) has taken to social media to announce that all protests outside the Cladhan Hotel have been cancelled due to others inviting the “racist groups” to demonstrations.

SOF said the views displayed by both PA and the Homeland Party, including the removal of black, mixed-race, or non-white people, from the country is not something it will ever “associate with or tolerate”.

A statement on social media read: “This has gone far beyond protesting a hotel and failed immigration policies, and into territory that will only damage communities, discredit legitimate concerns, and hand authorities the excuse to shut protests down altogether.

“Because of this, SOF will no longer attend any Cladhan Hotel protests.

“There will be one final update posted in the coming days, after which this page will be shut down permanently.

“We thank those who supported us in good faith and stood for Falkirk without hatred or division.”
