The family of a man who has been missing for two weeks from his East Ayrshire home have issued a plea for his safe return.
Jason Anderson was last seen on Friday, December 12 in Catrine around 6pm and was later reported missing days later on December 18.
Since then, a multi-agency search operation has taken place, with the police helicopter and drones, mountain rescue teams and officers on quad bikes searching for the missing 33-year-old.
CCTV footage has been scoured and officers are carrying out door to door enquiries in a bid to trace him.
Police ScotlandPolice said Mr Anderson’s disappearance is out of character, especially over the festive period.
In a statement released through police, his brother Frankie has issued a plea for his safe return.
Frankie said: “We want nothing more than the safe return of Jason. It’s been an extremely difficult couple of weeks, wondering where Jason is and hoping he is ok.
“Please, if anyone has any information at all that could help bring my brother home, contact the police.
“Jason, if you see this message, please get in contact as we just want to know you are safe.”
Chief inspector Stuart Dougan said: “Jason has now been missing for a significant amount of time and is it out of character for him not to be in contact with family or friends, especially over the festive period.
“I’d urge anyone who may have seen Jason, or a man matching his description, to report any sightings to us.
“Anyone with any information about his whereabouts should contact police immediately.”
Jason is described as around 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short, fair hair.
