Emergency services have been called to a Glasgow restaurant after a fire took hold on Monday
The Scottish and Fire Rescue Service were alerted to a blaze at the Dunya Restaurant on Duke Street in the Dennistoun area of the city at around 6.37pm.
Four fire appliances were mobilised to the scene and are still in the area.
Images taken of the building show small plumes of smoke appearing from the roof and fire crews on top of the nearby Louden Tavern as they walk towards the source of the blaze.
A cordon is in place and water hoses also appear to have been fed into the building.
It is not known whether there were any injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Duke Street at Cumbernauld Road, Glasgow, is currently closed following a fire at a premises which was reported around 7pm on Monday, 31 March, 2025.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the public are asked to avoid the area.”
A traffic alert read: “Due to a building fire, Duke Street is closed in eastbound between Millerston Street and Glendale Street. The road will remain closed until further notice. Emergency services are in attendance.”
