iStockFire crews have warned residents about large volumes of smoke from a car garage fire in Coatbridge.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received the call for a fire involving a car garage on Wilton Road in the North Lanarkshire town at 4.23pm on Saturday.
The fire was ongoing as of 6pm, and four fire appliances were at the scene.
“Due to large volumes of smoke from the incident, residents within the immediate vicinity of this area should keep windows and doors closed,” the fire service said on Facebook.
“If smoke is visible within the wider local area, please follow the same safety advice.”
