John MulhollandFirefighters have worked through the night tackling a blaze at a derelict school.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Robert Street, Port Glasgow at 8.43pm on Sunday.
At the height of the incident around 30 firefighters were tackling the blaze, with six appliances and specialist resources at the scene in the Inverclyde town.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Crews remain on the scene as on 9am on Monday, dampening down hot spots to make the area safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.43pm on Sunday, August 27 to reports of a derelict building on fire at Robert Street in Glasgow.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised two appliances and a high reach vehicle to the scene and on arrival firefighters found a derelict school well alight.
“Additional resources were mobilised including four further appliances and crews remain on the scene as they dampen down hot spots to make the area safe. No casualties were reported.”
