The first doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccination have been administered in Glasgow.
More than a million doses of the vaccine have been ordered for Scotland as the first batch arrived on Tuesday.
Moderna is the third approved vaccine to be made available in the UK after AztraZenica and Pfizer.
Almost 2.6 million people in Scotland have already received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
On Wednesday, vaccinators at The Hydro in Glasgow began administering the jab.
Dr Linda de Caestecker, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s director of public health, said: “This is another milestone for our Covid vaccination programme.
“Our vaccinators have been working tirelessly to ensure that our staff and members of the public can receive their vaccination swiftly and safely.
“I’m delighted that we have been able to add this third vaccine to our vaccination programme and we look forward to welcoming more members of the public to The Hydro to receive their vaccination in the weeks to come.”
