First Scotland World Cup 2026 fan zones announced for Glasgow and Edinburgh

The first official Scotland World Cup 2026 fan zones have been announced for Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Ahead of World Cup fever taking over the country this summer, SWG3 in Glasgow and The Pitt in Edinburgh have announced they will be transformed into full-scale fan parks.

The zones will give thousands of supporters the chance to watch Scotland’s matches live in the early hours of the morning after a dramatic 4–2 victory over Denmark ended a 28-year absence from the finals.

Scotland kick off their World Cup campaign against Haiti on June 14 at 2am, UK time, before facing Morocco on June 19, the opening day of TRNSMT, at 11pm.

Steve Clarke’s side then face off against Brazil on June 24 at 11pm, three days after the festival concludes.

Thousands are expected to make the trip across the Atlantic to back the team, and those left at home will be hopeful that the late bar opening times will be backed across the country.

Both venues, in collaboration with 4thefans, will be transformed into “immersive football hubs”, featuring giant anti-glare screens, sound systems, DJs, competitions, giveaways and a range of food and drink options.

Each key match screening will also include live analysis and appearances from a football legend, with Scotland icon Colin Hendry already confirmed. Supporters will be able to purchase standing access or reserved table seating.

Organisers say the fan parks are designed to “recreate the intensity and atmosphere of a stadium”.

A spokesperson for 4TheFans said: “This is about bringing fans together to celebrate Scotland’s return to the World Cup. Glasgow and Edinburgh are just the beginning, and we can’t wait to welcome the Tartan Army next summer.”

Steve Clarke previously urged the Tartan Army not to push the financial boat out too far to see Scotland at the World Cup next summer.

Fans who do not receive any through the Scotland Supporters Club will have to deal with FIFA’s dynamic pricing model and resale costs, and the Association of Tartan Army Clubs (ATAC) branded the costs “disgraceful and disgusting”.
