Five men have been charged over the attempted murder of a 52-year-old man at a shop in Glasgow.
Police confirmed the men, aged 41, 35, 33, 20 and 20, have been arrested in connection with the alleged shooting within the premises on Drumoyne Road in the Govan area at around 4pm on Friday, October 25.
A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was described as “stable”.
Detectives launched an investigation into what they believed was a targeted attempted murder – including conducting door-to-door inquiries and checking CCTV.
Police also appealed for anyone who had seen a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta being driven “erratically” during rush-hour traffic on the same day.
The car was later found burnt out in a wooded area popular with walkers near Cochno Road in Faifley.
The five men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
