Four people have been arrested after a stabbing and robbery that shut a street in Glasgow’s West End.

Two men and a woman were taken to hospital after police closed off Argyle Street between Bunhouse Road and Sauchiehall Street following an incident around 1.10am on Tuesday.

Officers received reports of a 49-year-old man and 48-year-old woman found with serious injuries in a property on Blantyre Street.

A 76-year-old man was traced in a nearby property on Blantyre Street and was also taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

All three were arrested in connection with serious assaults.

A 48-year-old man was previously arrested in connection with a robbery and has since been charged in connection with serious assault.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and Police Scotland is urging anyone with information to come forward.
