Four men and two women charged after 'disturbance' in pub

Six people – including four men and two women – have been charged after a disturbance at a pub in Greenock.

Emergency services were called around 10.10pm on Sunday to a disturbance inside a pub on Inverkip Street in the town.

Images on social media showed a police presence and ambulance crews on the scene.

Four men aged 19, 24, 48 and 57, and two women aged 24 and 30 were arrested and charged in connection.

There were no reports of serious injuries, police said.

All six are due to appear in court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.10pm on Sunday, July 12, we received a report of a disturbance at a premises on Inverkip Street in Greenock.

“Officers attended and there were no reported serious injuries.

“Four men aged 19, 24, 48 and 57, and two women aged 24 and 30 were arrested and charged in connection.

“They are due to appear in court on a later date.”
