Four men and two women have been arrested following a disturbance in Dunoon involving a weapon.
Police were called to the George Street area of Hunters Quay at around 4.15am on Thursday, where a 54-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with being in possession of an offensive weapon.
Officers then proceeded to arrest a further two men, aged 28 and 26, and a woman, aged 44, in connection with the incident.
Another man, aged 25, was also arrested after previously leaving the scene in a vehicle.
Further enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police spokesperson said: “Around 4.15am on Thursday, August 31, 2023, police received reports of a disturbance in the George Street area of Hunters Quay in Dunoon.
“Officers attended and a 54-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with possession of an offensive weapon.
“A further two men, aged 28 and 26, and a 44-year old woman were also arrested in relation to the incident.
“A 25-year-old man left the scene in a vehicle. He was later traced and arrested.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
