Four men have appeared in court after being arrested in raids carried out in connection with disorder which broke out amid an ongoing ‘gang war’ in the central belt.
Three teenage men aged 18 and one man aged 31 were arrested and charged in connection with a deliberate fire at a house on Pitcairn Grove on Thursday, May 8.
One of the 18-year-olds, along with the 31-year-old man, were also arrested and charged in connection with a fire at a business premises on Cumbernauld Road in Stepps on the same date.
Tyler Ramage, 18, Kenzie Gardner, 18, and Kieran Abercrombie, 31, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday charged with wilful fireraising.
All men made no plea, and Mr Abercrombie was remanded in custody. Mr Ramage and Mr Gardner were granted bail.
Robert Thomson also appeared at the court, charged with wilful fireraising and faced a charge under the the Firearms Act.
The 18-year-old made no plea and was granted bail.
