A four-year-old girl has been left fighting for her life after being hit by a car in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Tantallon Road around 9am on Thursday following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and car.
A four-year-old girl was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children, where hospital staff described her condition as critical.
The female driver of the BMW X1 did not require medical treatment.
Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 9am to attend an incident on Tantallon Road, Glasgow.
“We dispatched one ambulance, one paramedic response unit (PRU), and one special operation response team (SORT) to the scene. One patient was transported to Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.”
Sergeant Ally Wright said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
“I’m also keen to speak to any drivers who were in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage which has captured something of significance.
“Anyone with information is urged to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 0714 of February 27, 2025.”
