Three men involved in a £321,000 drugs operation have been jailed for a total of more than 17 years.
On Friday, Keith Whyte, 33, Lewis McGrath, 30, and Scott Fitzgerald, 34, were sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow having all admitted involvement in the crime on August 29.
Fitzgerald, who also pled guilty to firearm offences, was sentenced to six years and six months, while Whyte was sentence to six years, and McGrath to four years and nine months jail time.
The sentencing comes after officers recovered cocaine with a street value of over £300,000 and heroin worth around £21,000 from properties in Aberdeen and Glasgow in Spring 2022. A sawn-off shotgun was also recovered from the Glasgow property.
Detective inspector Robin Sim of the Specialist Crime Division said: “This sentencing underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“We are working hard to ensure Scotland is a hostile environment for those who want to engage in criminal activity.
“Information from the public is crucial in helping us to combat those involved in drugs activity in our communities. It is only as a community working together that we can tackle drug dealing activity.
“Anyone with any information regarding drug dealing or county lines activities in their area are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
