A temporary art installation has been proposed for the Finnieston Crane.
Leeds-based creative studio New Substance have applied for permission to suspend a sculpture from the listed structure for three weeks.
The artwork would comprise a 10m-diameter dish made of steel and perspex, which would be lit from within.
It will be suspended from selected existing structural nodes on the crane boom.
If given the go-ahead, installation work will begin on July 17, with the installation remaining in place until August 7.
Glasgow City Council’s planners are currently considering the application.
