Schoolgirl, ten, taken to hospital after being knocked down by car

A girl has been taken to hospital after she was struck by a car in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Dunkenny Road on Tuesday evening around 6.15pm following reports of a collision involving a car and a ten-year-old pedestrian.

The schoolgirl was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

No further police action has taken place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Dunkenny Road, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a ten-year-old girl, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.”
