Glasgow residents have been dubbed some of the “most romantic” in the UK by a new study.
The analysis, carried out by online health clinic From Mars, revealed the top UK cities for dating and romance following a survey of online searches for date ideas.
London came in pole position, with an overall 101,400 online searches for romantic outings carried out between May 2021 and April 2022.
With its 20,629 restaurants and 1,350 nightlife venues, the capital scored an overall 6.67 dating score.
Close behind were Manchester residents with 24,200 searches, and Birmingham contributing 17,100 hunts for charming date-night ideas.
In fourth came Glasgow, with 12,700 searches for outings.
It boasts 221 nightlife venues, 1,915 restaurants and 147 “romantic places” – winning it an overall 7.08 dating score.
Edinburgh came in eighth, behind Leeds, with just more than 9,000 searches made and a score of 5.73.
