The owners of a Glasgow café say they have been issued with “death threats” after a visit from former Prime Minister David Cameron.
Kudos, located in the Finnieston area, posted a photo of the ex-Conservative leader posing alongside staff outside the premises on Friday.
The caption stated that the team was “speechless” and “couldn’t resist” getting a picture with the member of the House of Lords.
Just hours after the initial post, the owners told followers they had received “death threats” and individuals were leaving “fake reviews” on Google.
Kudos/Social MediaThey stated the picture was “light-hearted fun” and wasn’t an endorsement of their “own political values”.
The post added: “We apologise again to those we have upset, but ask you see the people and their livelihoods you are affecting.
“None of the hate is affecting David Cameron, but two young business owners doing their best in an extreme, difficult climate.”
