Glasgow Subway line closed following 'passenger-related incident'

Initially, both the inner and outer circles were closed, however, the outer line has since reopened.

A Glasgow Subway line has been closed due to a “passenger-related incident” on Friday.

Initially, both the inner and outer circles were closed, however, the outer line has reopened following the emergency incident.

Bridge Street Station has also been closed to passengers. Emergency services have been called to attend.

A Glasgow Subway statement read: “Outer Circle is now resuming services.

“Inner Circle remains suspended. Bridge St Station is also closed to passengers. Passengers can not enter or exit station and no trains will stop at the station. Nearest station is St Enoch. Apologies for the inconvenience.”

Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue have been contacted for comment.
