A takeaway restaurant in Glasgow has been severely damaged by a fire which broke out in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to BBQ Wrap Salad on Hyndland Street, Partick, around 1.46am on Friday, following reports of a building fire.
The eatery, specialising in BBQ and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes, operates on the ground floor of a four-storey tenement building.
Four fire engines and a height appliance were sent to the scene, and the blaze was extinguished.
There were no reported casualties.
Lauren Brown via SuppliedA Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.46am on Friday, March 13 to reports of a building on fire at Hyndland Street, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and one height vehicle, and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a commercial premises on the ground floor of a four-storey tenement building.
“There were no reported casualties, and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
