Helicopter and drone searches are being carried out to trace a man missing in Dumfries and Galloway for nearly five days.

Adrian Knott, known as Ade, was last seen around 11pm on Sunday, November 23, at Gatehouse of Fleet.

The 51-year-old’s vehicle was found at Knocktinkle, and extensive searches are being carried out to trace him.

Ade is described as being around 6ft, with a grey beard and a bald head. He wears black-framed glasses, has a nose ring, and tattoos on both hands.

He is likely to be wearing a camouflage waterproof jacket and a brown fleece.

Inspector Kelly Douglas said: “As time passes, concerns are growing for Adrian.

“Our enquiries are ongoing with searches continuing over the weekend.

“I would appeal to anyone who has seen Adrian or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“I would ask anyone who has been in the area to think back, do you remember seeing someone matching his description? Any information could prove vital.”
