A mountain rescue team was dispatched after a hillwalker became stuck in a gully.
The Glencoe team were alerted to the emergency on Sgorr nam Fiannaidh, which is the western summit of the Aonach Eagach, after the casualty had chosen a route that took them into a deep gully.
They signalled for help after becoming stuck in the steep terrain. A small team of volunteers were deployed to the scene.
The group managed to lower the walker onto lower ground before assisting them safely off the hill.
A post from the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team read: “Team members were called out earlier this week after a hill walker became stuck while trying to find a route down from Sgorr nam Fiannaidh.
“Unfortunately, the casualty had chosen a route that took them into a deep gully and onto some very steep terrain, where they made the sensible decision to call for help.
“A small hill party made good time up to the walker and was able to lower them onto easier ground with a rope before assisting the casualty safely off the hill.
“The team on the hill was treated to an amazing sunset before the sky was filled with snow and darkness.”
