Hunt for driver who fled scene of crash after injuring two police officers

Police are hunting for a driver who made off from the scene of a crash which left two police officers injured.

Officers were engaging with the driver of a car on Fleming Way in Hamilton around 9.30am on Tuesday, before the driver then made off.

The car crashed into a stationary vehicle a short distance away.

The passenger of the car and two police officers were injured and have been taken to hospital.

Police are now searching for the driver who left the scene.

Fleming Way remains closed as investigations are carried out.
