Hunt for hit-and-run driver after man struck by car at bus stop

The car failed to stop and drove away after hitting a 41-year-old man at a bus stop.

Police are hunting for a driver after a man was hit by a car while standing at a bus stop in Glasgow.

The pedestrian was standing at a bus stop on Dyke Road around 1.20pm on Monday when he was struck by a blue Jeep.

The car failed to stop and drove away in the direction of Culbin Drive.

The pedestrian, a 41-year-old man, did not require any medical treatment.

Sergeant Iain Allison said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to please come forward.

“From our enquiries so far, we understand there were other members of the public at this bus stop, and we are keen to speak with them as they may be able to assist with our investigation.

“In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage is asked to contact us as this may be significant.”
