A manhunt has been launched following the “targeted murder” on a street in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Dalness Close in the Tollcross area after they were alerted to a disturbance at around 12.25pm on Monday.

James Greenhorn, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are treating the incident as targeted and the death as murder.

No arrests have been made but officers are following a “definite line of enquiry”.

Detective Chief Inspector David Lamont said: “Around 12.25pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, we were called to Dalness Close in Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report of a disturbance on the street.

“James Greenhorn, 61, from the Tollcross area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is aware. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

“We believe that Mr Greenhorn was deliberately targeted. His death is being treated as murder.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we are following a definite line of enquiry.

“Additional patrols are in the area and anyone with concerns or information can speak to any of our officers.”
