Police are searching for a man with ‘rotten teeth’ after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a bus shelter in Renfrewshire.

The girl was at the shelter on Causeyside Street in Paisley at around 6.15pm on Monday evening when she was approached by the man and sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid 20s, tall, with a thin face, shaved head, dark eyes and rotten teeth.

He was wearing a North Face jacket with the hood up, dark jogging bottoms and dark shoes.

Police are also searching for two women who spoke to the girl following the incident and urged them to come forward.

Detective Constable Kenny McLachlan of CID said: “It’s imperative that we trace this man and I am asking if anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

“Following the incident the victim was spoken to by two females at the bus shelter to make sure she was okay. It’s important they come forward, I would ask them to contact us as soon as possible.

“This area is busy with motorists and I would ask that if you have dash-cam footage to check it, you may have captured something that can assist our investigation.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3158 of February 3, 2025.”
