A hunt has been launched to trace a teenager who was seen exposing himself in two “disturbing” incidents in North Ayrshire.

Officers were alerted after a young man was seen exposing himself at around 4.45pm on Sunday on Main Street, Kilwinning.

Ten minutes later, the same male was seen exposing himself on the lane between Lauchlan Way and Main Street.

Police described the male as aged between 17 to early 20s, around 5’6 to 5’8 in height with brown hair.

The man was last seen wearing a long-sleeved Stone Island branded top, a body warmer and shorts.

Police Scotland is urging anyone with information regarding the “disturbing and upsetting” incidents to come forward.

Chief inspector Normansell said: “Clearly, this was a disturbing and upsetting incident, which was thankfully reported to police.

“We are asking the public to get in touch if they think they know who this man is – or have witnessed similar incidents recently. We will be carrying out extensive enquiries to find the man responsible.

“If anyone has any information that could help with our enquiries, then please contact Police Scotland on 101 – quoting reference CR/0103982/25.

“Alternatively, make a call to Crimestoppers Scotland on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
