A hunt has been launched for three masked men after a car was deliberately set on fire in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to a white BMW 5 series car deliberately set on fire on Craigburn Street, Hamilton, around 2pm on Monday.
The fire was extinguished by fire crews, and there were no reports of any injuries.
Officers are looking to trace three men wearing balaclavas who were seen in the area at the time.
The men made off in a white vehicle in the direction of Tullymet Road.
Police Scotland is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective sergeant Jim Williamson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1679 of April, 21. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
