Hunt for two suspects launched after man seriously injured

Police are searching for two suspects after a man was attacked in Larkhall.

Two males approached a man walking on Machan Road and seriously assaulted him at around 5.30pm on Monday.

The man, aged 56, attended the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

One of the suspects had brown hair. No further description of the suspects is known at this stage.

Detective constable Muhammad Yas said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved in this incident, and we are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

“I am also appealing to anyone in the local area who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
