The family of a schoolboy who died after being stabbed in Glasgow have said they are in “shock and denial”.
Amen Teklay was found seriously injured on Clarendon Street at around 10.30pm on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, with a murder investigation launched the following day.
His family have said they are “broken”.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Amen’s sister, Delina Teklay, who travelled from London to comfort her father, said everyone is in “shock and denial.”
The 17-year-old said she first heard about her brother’s death when someone posted about it on Snapchat.
She told STV News: “They posted on Snapchat when I was in school, and I saw it and couldn’t believe it.

“They told me they were hacked because they didn’t want to tell me before I went home.
“It still felt like something was going on, so I left school and went home, and that’s when they told me.
“We still don’t believe it. Amen was a fun kid, always smiling and everyone loved him. So everyone was really sad with this news.”

“We want to tell the family what actually happened, and we want the information from the police, but there’s no confirmation yet,” his sister said.
Detective superintendent Cheryl Kelly added “Our thoughts are with Amen’s family and friends at this distressing time. We will continue to provide specialist support for them as our investigation continues.
“We are still keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and anyone who has dash cam, private CCTV or doorbell footage around the time of the incident.”
Superintendent Christopher Stewart, said: “I understand that residents in the area will be very concerned following this incident however I can reassure them we are working very closely with our detective colleagues and there will continue to be a visible policing presence in the area.
“I would urge anyone with questions, concerns or information to approach officers who are there to help.”
Detectives have also set up a portal that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team, which can be submitted anonymously.
