An elderly woman who was injured in a car crash that killed a cyclist and hurt a pedestrian has died.
The 90-year-old was a passenger in a Toyota Yaris car which was involved in the collision on the A815 road in Dunoon on Tuesday, June 14.
The incident took place at around 3.55pm when the Yaris collided with the 67-year-old cyclist – who was pronounced dead at the scene – and a 63-year-old woman.
The woman, a pedestrian, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
The driver of the car and the 90-year-old passenger were taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley as a precaution, police said.
But on Saturday, Police Scotland confirmed the passenger had “succumbed to injuries” on Friday.
Sergeant Hugh Niccolls said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died yesterday evening in hospital.”
He added that police investigations into the incident were continuing, and urged anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the force on 101, quoting incident number 2204 of June 14.
