Probe launched as man taken to hospital following street attack

A man has been taken to hospital following a street attack in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Lethamhill Road in the Riddrie area at around 7.20pm on Thursday following reports of an assault.

A 39-year-old man was transported to hospital following the incident. No arrests have been made and an investigation is still ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.20pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 we were called to a report of an assault on Lethamhill Road in Glasgow. 

“Officers attended and a 39-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. 

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
