The Batman may be returning to Glasgow for filming after the city was transformed into Gotham a few years ago.
Fans of the superhero franchise are gearing up for the prospect of the masked vigilante arriving in the city once again after various locations featured in the 2022 film.
Some scenes, including the final shots of the film, were filmed in Glasgow’s Necropolis and the Glasgow Cathedral in February 2020.
Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman in the sequel, with Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright also set to appear again.
Luke Hull, the production designer for the sequel, shared new photos on social media tagging locations in Glasgow such as Anderston.
Fans flooded the comments with excitement, hoping once again that Batman will descend on the city.
The film has entered pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to begin in January 2026.
The movie is scheduled for release in cinemas in October 2027.
It comes after movie buffs were starstruck at Tom Holland filming explosive scenes for Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the city earlier this summer.
