STV NewsA street in Kilmarnock has been taped off amid a large police presence outside a house.
Pictures from the scene at around 8.30pm on Friday showed more than seven police vehicles and a fire appliance outside a property in Dean Road.
STV News understands armed police are also at the scene.
The nature of the incident is unknown at this time.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was supporting Police Scotland at the scene.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
