The road reopened at around 9.30am after the vehicle was recovered.
Drivers have been told to expect delays of around 24 minutes.
Glasgow City Council’s traffic control said the surrounding areas will still be impacted with reports of traffic backing up causing widespread delays.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched two appliances.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The M8 is closed eastbound between junctions 22 and 16 and the M77 is closed northbound at junction 1.
“This is due to a vehicle fire.
“Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.”
