iStockA crash restricted part of the M8 at rush hour, with drivers delayed.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the motorway was restricted around 9am heading east at junction 16 due to the collision.
Police have responded to the incident, and lane two of the motorway was closed.
Drivers were asked to budget for extra travel time with traffic slowing as a response to the incident.
Delays were expected due to peak travel, Traffic Scotland said.
The road was cleared after 9.30am.
