Commuters are being warned of restrictions on the M8 with delays of nearly 20 minutes following two separate crashes during rush-hour.
A collision happened at junction 4 near Blackburn in West Lothian at around 7am on Wednesday but traffic had begun to clear by 7.20am in that area.
Another crash took place about an hour later near Shotts in North Lanarkshire at junction 5.
Traffic Scotland said lane 2 is currently restricted and urged road users to approach the area with caution.
It said drivers are experiencing delays of around 19 minutes in the region.
Police Scotland, which is attendance at both sites, has been approached for comment.
