Drivers on the M8 faced delays to their journey on Tuesday after swans made their way onto the road.
The birds made their way onto the road at junction 7 near Eurocentral, causing a traffic standstill.
The swans were reported on the carriageway and hard shoulder, with police deployed to the scene.
Traffic Scotland said road users heading westbound faced delays.
Just after 2pm, TRISS teams retrieved the swans and the road was reopened.

A post on X read: “Traffic is currently being held westbound due to swans…one of which is on the hard shoulder.
“Until they wind their neck in and are escorted from the carriageway, please take care.
“Police Scotland are on scene and remain unflappable.”
An update added: “TRISS teams have quite literally got a hold of the situation!
“All lanes are now running clear following our earlier friend “swanning around”.
