A major road has been closed in both directions following a ‘serious’ crash in North Ayrshire.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the A737 was closed in both directions between Dalry and Kilwinning.
The incident happened around 4pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The latest update from Traffic Scotland at 7.18pm confirmed that the road remained closed in both directions.
It has not yet been confirmed how many vehicles were involved in the crash or whether there have been any casualties.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
