A man has been arrested and charged with a number of offences following a police chase through Glasgow.
The 33-year-old was detained following a police pursuit from Possilpark to the Charing Cross area at around 8.40am on Sunday morning.
Police Scotland said the driver “intentionally rammed” a number of police vehicles.
A statement from the force confirmed the man has been charged with offences, including dangerous driving; being unfit to drive through drugs; weapons possession; possession and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs; and driving without a licence and insurance. The force said he was also detained as he was wanted.
There were no reported injuries.
The post read: “A number of people may have observed a large police presence in the Charing Cross area earlier today. This was because of a vehicle pursuit after a driver failed to stop for local officers in Possil.
“Glasgow Road Police took over the pursuit, during which the driver intentionally rammed a number of police vehicles, the incident concluded at Charing Cross where the vehicle was forcefully stopped and the driver was arrested.”
The driver will appear in court on Monday November 17.
