A man has died after being found injured at a holiday park in Inverclyde.

Police and paramedics raced to Rothesay Gardens at Wemyss Bay after receiving a report of an injured man at around 12.05am on Sunday (Sep 14).

The 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with assault.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.05am on Sunday, September 14, 2025, officers were called to a report of a man having been injured on Rothesay Gardens, Wemyss Bay.

“Emergency services attended, and a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A 21-year-old man and 28-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with assault and enquiries are ongoing.”
