A man was found seriously injured, and officers were allegedly threatened with a knife at a caravan park in Dumfries and Galloway.
Emergency services were called to Whitecairn Caravan Park in Glenluce at around 1.30am on Wednesday morning following reports of a disturbance.
A 35-year-old man was found seriously injured and taken to Galloway Community Hospital for treatment. He has been transferred to the Dumfries and Galloway General Hospital.
Officers have charged a 38-year-old man in connection. He is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30am on Wednesday, August 6 2025, police were called to a report that a man had been found seriously injured in Whitecairn Caravan Park, Glenluce, Wigtownshire.
“He was taken by ambulance to Galloway Community Hospital but has since been transferred to the Dumfries and Galloway General Hospital.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the incident. He is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 7, 2025. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
