A man has been charged in connection with an attempted murder in Cumbernauld.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on the Main Road at around 9.20pm on Sunday, May 4.

A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Officers have charged a man, aged 43, in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday.
