A man has been left injured following a serious assault in West Dunbartonshire.
The 69-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment after being attacked by a teenager on Bankend Road, at its junction with Townhead Road.
Police are now appealing for information into the incident that took place around 7.40pm on Friday.
The suspect is described as being a white male, aged around 15 to 16-years-old, with a slim build and dark, curly hair.
At the time of the attack he was wearing a red top and dark shorts.
Investigating officers are asking witnesses to come forward as they look to establish the full circumstances.
Detective Constable Iain McGill said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time who may have dash-cam footage to come forward.”
