iStockA man has been charged with impersonating a police officer in Glasgow.
Officers were called to Cathkin Braes following reports of a man acting suspiciously around 3pm on Friday, August 22.
A 71-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with impersonating a police officer and committing a breach of the peace.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
Inspector Christopher Thomson said: “Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area, and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.
“If you see or hear anything that concerns you, please don’t hesitate to speak to our officers or contact us on 101.
“In an emergency, always dial 999.”
