An 80-year-old man has been followed home from a newsagents in Glasgow and robbed.
A man, between the age of 32 and 38, forcibly removed the pensioner’s wallet from his jacket pocket around 11am on Friday morning.
He then left in the direction of Atlas Road, Springburn, with the wallet which contained a three figure sum of cash.
The victim was not injured but was left badly shaken by the incident.
Police are trying to trace the man, who was described as 6ft tall and of medium build, wearing a black leather imitation jacket and blue jeans.
Police constable Sean Kennedy said: “Thankfully the 80-year-old man was not injured as a result of the incident.
“Our investigations are ongoing and we have gathered CCTV to establish more information in an effort to identify the man responsible.”
