STV NewsA man will stand trial accused of wearing doctor’s clothing and stealing medical supplies from a hospital.
Gregg Neagle, 39, allegedly roamed Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on August 5, 2024.
Court papers state Neagle entered the hospital premises in the early hours of the morning wearing doctor’s clothing.
It is claimed he entered staff-only areas and wards when he had no lawful authority to be there.
The charge goes on to say Neagle attended two hospital treatment rooms containing medical supplies and medication, as well as controlled and non-controlled drugs.
Neagle, of the city’s Hyndland, allegedly forced open locked treatment rooms by true PIN code.
He is then stated to have opened a cupboard within a treatment room containing medication and drugs with intent to steal.
The charge says that Neagle did steal a quantity of medical supplies.
Neagle has pleaded not guilty to the single charge and will go on trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court next month.
