A man has admitted impersonating a nurse in the resuscitation and children’s areas of a Glasgow hospital.
Lee Woods wore NHS clothing and a badge at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital between March and July 2023.
Court papers state the 28-year-old conducted himself in a disorderly manner and repeatedly attended the hospital.
The charge says that Woods was not an employee.
Woods also repeatedly attended the resuscitation and children’s areas while wearing the clothing.
It is stated that Woods, of Greenock, Inverclyde, committed breach of the peace.
Woods pled guilty to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A schedule of previous convictions was passed to the sheriff by prosecutor Iain Mathieson.
Patrick Brechany, defending, told the court: “His circumstances are highly unusual.
“I wonder if the court would benefit from a criminal justice social work report for this matter.”
Sheriff David Taylor agreed and deferred sentence until the end of February where more information surrounding the circumstances will be heard.
Woods had his bail continued meantime.
