Man and dog injured after being set upon by 'group of dogs'

The 65-year-old man was walking his dog in Cambuslang when they were 'set upon'.

A man and a dog have been left injured after being attacked by a group of dogs in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to a disturbance on Bogleshole Road, in Cambuslang, around 5pm on Friday.

A 65-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment, and his dog was taken to the vets. Its current condition is unknown.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.05pm on Friday, September 19, 2025, we received a report of a group of dogs setting upon a man and his dog in Bogleshole Road, Cambuslang.

Officers attended, and a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection.

“A 65-year-old man attended hospital for treatment and his dog was taken to a veterinary practice.

“The 27-year-old will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
