A man and a dog had to be rescued by lifeboat crews after he suffered a medical emergency on a grounded boat.
Stranraer RNLI was first called to reports of a vessel in difficulty to the south of Loch Ryan around 10.30am on Saturday.
The boat was found aground with the tide still low, but its occupants were safe and well.
It was decided that, due to the tide, it would not be possible to refloat the vessel and the lifeboat was stood down.
The team relaunched around 7.45pm to help the vessel ahead of high tide.
Stranraer RNLI LifeboatAfter reaching the vessel for a second time, lifeboat crews discovered that the male occupant was suffering a medical emergency.
The man was taken ashore to a Stranraer harbour, where he was met by the coastguard and an ambulance.
His dog was also safely taken to shore, where the pair were reunited. The boat was refloated and escorted into the marina.
A spokesperson for Stranraer RNLI said: “The crew of Stranraer RNLI would like to wish the gentleman involved a full and speedy recovery.”
